Jody Joy joined Del Collo & Mazzanti as a Partner in February 2023. She is admitted to practice in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. For over a decade she has exclusively handled Workers’ Compensation litigation. She has brought hundreds of cases from beginning to decision.
Ms. Joy began focusing her career in the area of workers’ compensation in 2006 when she practiced with the largest workers’ compensation firm in the state of PA at that time. During her tenure at that firm, she was named a Super Lawyer Rising Star for seven consecutive years. Ms. Joy maintains a “Super Lawyer” approach to protecting her client’s rights with personal attention.
Ms. Joy is an active member of both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations. She has also been a guest lecturer for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute as well as Villanova University School of Law in the area of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law.
Ms. Joy earned her law degree from Widener University in 2003. There she was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus, the Student Bar Association, and performed pro bono legal work for domestic violence victims as part of the Delaware Civil Clinic. She earned her B.S. degree in Management and International Business from the Pennsylvania State University in 1998.
Following law school, she served as a judicial clerk for the Honorable Craig Wellerson, J.S.C. in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Family Division in Burlington County.
When not busy practicing law, Ms. Joy enjoys spending her time with her husband and two young children.
