Mark Mazzanti is a founding partner of Del Collo & Mazzanti LLP and has emphasized workers’ compensation defense litigation in behalf of insurers and large employers in his 33 years of practice.
Mr. Mazzanti’s introduction to Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Law was his judicial clerkship with the late Theodore O. Rogers of the Commonwealth Court. He then learned the claimant’s perspective as an associate at a well-known plaintiffs firm, before moving on to staff and senior trial counsel positions with major insurers, defending civil actions, as well as workers’ compensation claims.
In the course of his career, Mr. Mazzanti has handled literally thousands of workers’ compensation hearings, mediations and expert witness depositions, as well as scores of oral arguments before the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Board and the Commonwealth Court. He has also been a speaker for PESI on medical cost containment, and for the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation Conference and the Philadelphia Bar Association on Impairment Rating Evaluations, and has appeared before numerous insurers and self-insureds on a wide range of Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation topics.
Under Mr. Mazzanti’s tutelage, two former associates are now sitting workers’ compensation judges. All of the attorneys at Del Collo & Mazzanti share Mr. Mazzanti’s focus on excellence in client service.
In 2013, Mr. Mazzanti was certified as a specialist in the practice of workers’ compensation law by the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Section on Workers’ Compensation Law as authorized by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
